INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES
FULL MEMBER ($60)
Audiologists, Speech Language Pathologists and Speech Language Specialists
All new members shall hold a minimum of a Master’s Degree or equivalent in the areas of Speech Language Pathology and/or Audiology. This requirement may be waived by recommendation of the Membership Committee and approval by a simple majority of the Executive Board.
Full membership gives the right to cast ballots in Association elections; to cast ballots for by-law changes; to hold office; to serve on or chair committees; to receive Association publications; and to participate in Association functions at membership rates.
ASSOCIATE MEMBER ($30)
Speech Language Assistants
Persons who have received a Bachelor’s Degree in communication sciences and disorders or an Associate’s Degree in speech-language assisting from a NHSLHA-recognized college or university, and/or have been certified as an SLA in NH shall be eligible for Associate membership.
Associate membership gives the right to receive Association publications, to serve on committees and to participate in Association functions at membership rates.
RETIREE MEMBER ($10)
Retired Audiologists, Speech Language Pathologists, Speech Language Specialists, Speech Language Assistants
Retiree membership gives the right to cast ballots in Association elections; to cast ballots for by-law changes; to hold office; to serve on or chair committees; to receive Association publications; and to participate in Association functions at membership rates.
CLINICAL FELLOW/STUDENT MEMBER (FREE)
Clinical Fellows and all Students
Full-time or part-time Clinical Fellows and/or Students in an associate, undergraduate and/or graduate program in Speech Language Pathology, Audiology or Speech Language Assisting shall be eligible for student status. Eligibility shall be determined by validation of CF through Allied Health or Student status by their program’s Department Chair.
Clinical Fellow/Student membership gives the right to receive NHSLHA publications, serve on NHSLHA committees, and to participate in NHSLHA functions at discounted/free rates. Student members may not participate as voting members of NHSLHA in any capacity.
LIFE MEMBER (FREE)
Any Full Member may apply to NHSLHA for Life Membership and be granted this recognition if all of the following conditions are met:
~ Retirement from full-time employment
~ Provision of a minimum of 10 years professional service in the areas of speech-language pathology or audiology
~ NHSLHA member for at least five years
A life member shall continue to enjoy all rights and privileges of full membership but shall be excused from payment of annual dues.
COURTESY MEMBER (FREE)
A member in good standing of the New Hampshire Academy of Audiology, the Vermont Speech and Hearing Association, the Maine Speech and Hearing Association and the Massachusetts Speech and Hearing Association may participate in NHSLHA-sponsored continuing education programs at NHSLHA member rates upon presentation of proof of membership in one of these organizations. Courtesy Members may not participate as voting members of NHSLHA in any capacity.
